I have installed security cameras. These provide peace of mind, assurance, and of course safety. The cameras are positioned to monitor the main door, the entrance, and the exits. The cameras pick up sound and record video. They work night and day. They are solar powered, so the batteries are constantly charged.

Psalm 121 says the Lord constantly watches over us.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip. He who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. The Lord watches over you. The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm. He will watch over your life. The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forever more.

What an encouraging Scripture this is! The Lord watches us because he loves us; he watches over us because he wants to protect, guard, and guide us so we can have confidence in him.

Whatever you're facing today, whatever things might concern you or trouble you, whatever situations you face, be assured the Lord is with you. He watches over you. He cares for you.

How can we be sure of this? The Scriptures tell us. Jesus died and rose again for us. This is the depth of God's love for us.

Let's pray.

Lord, we thank you because you are so faithful and so gracious. Lord, we worship you and we have confidence in you. We trust you, Lord. Thank you, Lord, for your goodness and your grace to us through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Amen.
